However, before the HBO Max product was released, the storyboards and concept ideas about Zack Snyder’s Justice League 2 and Zack Snyder’s Justice League 3 had reached the public. While some may have been holding out hope that the developer will finally make that Marvel vs DC game that fans have been hoping for for a while, NetherRealm Studios boss Ed Boon recently confirmed in a Twitter AMA that the studio’s next game is going to be either Injustice 3 or Mortal Kombat 12. Such is the case with Ed Boon’s latest hint drop on Twitter, where he reveals that his studio’s next game will be either Injustice 3 or Mortal Kombat 12. As the line-up reveals, NetherRealm head Ed Boon will be in attendance, which may well be to announce the studio’s. Well, it’ll be one of those two, unsurprisingly. An Injustice 3 reveal at DC Fandome on October 16 is entirely possible. Again, nothing is confirmed, but between Ed Boon being at DC Fandome and this potential tease, the time seems right for an Injustice 3 announcement, and DC’s catalogue seems primed to. The developer has generally alternated between new titles in the Injustice and Mortal Kombat franchise, but what can we expect from the studio next? Mortal Kombat 11 is well over three years old at this point, which means questions about what it is that NetherRealm Studios will put out as its next big project are being asked with greater frequency.
